WAITING LIST INFORMATION
Individual Options and Level One Waiver Wait Lists Supported Living Individuals and/or family who are made eligible for Trumbull County Board of Developmental Disabilities services and are requesting these waivers are placed on a waiting list. The individual for whom services are being requested must need the waiver within 12 months in order to be placed on a waiver wait list. A waiting list is the county board’s way of keeping track of all people asking for the waivers. A waiting list is created when county boards do not have the resources to provide the service to everyone who asks.
Service Support Administrator Services There is no wait list for Service Support Administrator Services. Once an individual is determined eligible, a Service Support Administrator is immediately assigned.
Family Support Services Program There is no wait list for Family Support Services Program. Once an individual is determined eligible, he or she is referred to the Family Support Services Program.
Adult Services Program Adults who are made eligible for Trumbull County Board of Developmental Disabilities services may request enrollment in the Adult Services Program. Placement in the adult services program depends on several factors, including where the adult lives, which workshop the adult is assigned to, the enrollment capacity of the workshop, or the county board’s resources at the time the request is made. These factors may cause a delay in enrollment. If this occurs, the adult would be placed on a wait list for the specific workshop to which he or she has been assigned. A waiting list is the county board’s way of keeping track of adults asking for adult services. As resources or enrollment slots become available, adults on the waiting list will be offered services in the order they requested. Individuals attending their last year of schooling may also apply for adult services. These individuals will be placed on the wait list until they have finished their educational program or graduated from high school.
The board, leadership, and employees of the Trumbull County Board of Developmental Disabilities are steadfast in maintaining and creating programs and services that meet the unique needs of individuals and their families.
