The Trumbull County Board of MRDD (Fairhaven) has excellent opportunities as a Board for qualified candidates to provide the following substitute services on an as-needed, flexible schedule basis:
Substitute Teachers
Ideal candidates will provide instruction to students with mental retardation and developmental disabilities in the absence of regular teachers following approved or adopted curriculum areas. Must hold appropriate substitute teaching license from the Ohio Department of Education. Bachelors Degree required.
Substitute Teacher Assistants
Candidates chosen shall provide assistance to classroom teachers. Must hold appropriate Educational Aide certification from the Ohio Department of Education. High school diploma or GED required.
Substitute Bus Aides and Bus Drivers
Successful candidates must have an interest in working with persons with disabilities. CDL License preferred for Bus Driver applicants, but will train. High School diploma or GED required.
Substitute Workshop SpecialistsPersonal Service Assistants
Candidates chosen will provide direct care and training to adults employed in our Workshops. Must have an interest in working with persons with disabilities. High School diploma or GED required.
Substitute Secretaries
Ideal candidates will provide clerical assistance in a variety of Office/Workshop settings. Must type 50 wpm and have working knowledge of computers and office practices and procedures. High School diploma or GED required.
